We're pleased to announce that in conjunction with our debit card processor, Shazam, we've launched the Shazam R.A.D.A.R. program. We're excited to bring you this service and we need your help!

	It is critical for us to have up-to-date contact information for all of our Debit Card clients. One great feature about this monitoring program is that you will receive a phone call regarding suspicious transactions appearing on your account. This means it will serve you best if either McFarland State Bank or Shazam representatives can reach you promptly. Please note, Shazam Fraud Specialists will NEVER ask you for your account number or social security number!
	As you already do with your credit cards, we need to be notified when you travel out of your normal purchase area. Providing us with travel information including your destination and travel dates will help us minimize any transactional impact on your normal card usage.
	We strongly recommend always carrying more than one form of payment. Interruptions within ANY card network are always a very real possibility. Carrying multiple forms of payment reduces frustrations when trying to complete a needed purchase. McFarland State Bank is pleased to offer ATM Cards, Visa Gift Cards, Travelers Checks and an élan Credit Card (subject to credit approval by élan). Stop in and see us today!
	Review your account statements promptly and notify McFarland State Bank of any possible errors or unauthorized transactions. Our Online Banking is a great resource for reviewing transactions on a real-time basis.

HOW DOES SHAZAM R.A.D.A.R. WORK?
Each transaction you make is assigned a fraud score. Transactions placed out of your normal shopping area – especially a foreign country – score higher as do large dollar transactions. Because of this, you can see why it’s so important to notify us of your travel plans. The higher the score, the more likely the transaction will be flagged as potentially fraudulent. Depending on the level of risk of the transaction, you may be called by a Shazam Fraud Specialist to confirm the activity or identify it as fraudulent. If a Shazam is unable to reach you, McFarland State Bank employees will make these contact attempts. This is why, again, it is essential to maintain accurate contact information with McFarland State Bank. There is a potential – again based on the level of risk of the transaction – for your card to be frozen immediately but please note this is only used as a last resort and is for your protection. If this were to occur, please note there is 24/7 access to Shazam via their toll-free number: 1-800-383-8000. This number can also be found on the back of your McFarland State Bank Debit Card.
